Who we are
Small World Kindergarten provides day care and pre-school education for children aged 2 to 5 years on a part-time or full-time basis.
It has modern purpose built premises situated in the Christchurch Park area of Ipswich.
There are three well equipped classrooms and a safe, all-weather outdoor play area.
An Early years Professional (EYPS) along with our Experienced Nursery Manager (Level 4) leads a team of qualified staff (Level's 3-5), ensuring a high standard of care with staff to child ratios of 1 adult to every 6 children.
Day Nursery Facilities
The modern day nursery is spacious, airy and light. Inside there are three classrooms equipped to a particularly high standard. The internal layout has been arranged for easy accessibility and maximum creative space, and extensive resources to provide high quality childcare. The larger room offers activities with water, sand, paint, play-dough and other messy play which is so important to a child’s development. It also houses large construction, small world toys and a home corner. The smaller classroom is used for pre-reading, writing and practical mathematics activities. It also contains a computer, equipment for sorting and problem solving, and more educational toys and games. The upstairs classroom is an area where activities are planned specifically for the 3-5 year age group. It is an ideal space for drama, dance and role-play.
Our bunnies - Twinkle and Biscuit
Meet our bunnies Twinkle and Biscuit. The children love to help take care of us.
All children like to be out in the garden, and we are proud to have a safe and secure garden for them to play in.
Our growing area
With help from the children we have been growing Strawberries and Cougettes. They have enjoyed picking these to eat.
