Small World was taken over by the present principal and owner Emma White in September 2014. There has been a nursery on this site for over 40 years.
The nursery provides early years education for 40 children aged from 11 months to 5 years in a stimulating environment. Children may attend on a full or regular part time basis with all-year and term time options available for both. We offer 15 hours free early education for all three and four year old children, and eligible two year old children. Additional hours for working parents are also available but a maximum of 7.5hours a day can be used with a maximum of 30 hours funding used in a week.
All funding is only available for the 38 weeks funded by the government each year, these are spread over three terms, starting in September, January and April.
We believe that the early years are the most important for exploration and discovery; that children need opportunities to create, play, make friends and learn whilst having fun. Small World offers each child an atmosphere of warmth, care and understanding and a place to develop, both as an individual and part of a group.
The Kindergarten is open from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday; closed Bank and Public Holidays.
Children are welcome to attend a mixture of sessions during the week to suit individual family circumstances and preferences.
